Set up Email Account with Outlook 2013/2016/2019

IMAP vs POP: Which Should You Use?

Config outlook with IMAP

Please note that all the emails are stored on our server and will take up the hosting storage.

You can set up a cPanel/Directadmin email account with Microsoft Outlook 2019 and manage your email account.

  1. Open Outlook 2013/2016/2019
  2. Go to File > Info and click on Add Account.
  3. Enter your full email address, such as [email protected], and click Connect.
  4. In Advance Setup, select IMAP
  5. Enter IMAP details as provided below but change the hostname to your server hostname and make sure that your IMAP port is correct.
    1. Hostname: use our provided hostname (mail.yourdomain.com) for Incoming mail and Outgoing mail servers
    2. Port for SSL/TLS: Incoming Port is 993, Outgoing Port is 465
    3. Port for non SSL: Incoming Port is 143, Outgoing Port is 587 (StartTLS)
  6. Enter your email password and click Connect.
  7. Finally, click on Done.
  8. You can now manage your newly-added email from the left sidebar under the Home tab of Outlook.

 

Config outlook with POP3

Please note that all the email will stored on our server and you can select left it or delete it from server within 7 days

You can set up a cPanel/Directadmin email account with Microsoft Outlook 2019 and manage your email account.

  1. Open Outlook 2013/2016/2019/365
  2. Go to File > Info and click on Add Account.
  3. Enter your full email address, such as [email protected], and click Connect.
  4. In Advance Setup, select POP
  5. Enter POP3 details as provided below but change the hostname to your server hostname and make sure that your POP3 port is correct.
    1. Hostname: use our provided hostname (mail.yourdomain.com) for Incoming mail and Outgoing mail servers
    2. Port for SSL/TLS: Incoming Port is 995, Outgoing Port is 465
    3. Port for non SSL: Incoming Port is 110, Outgoing Port is 587 (StartTLS)
    4. Username: use your email address
  6. Enter your email password and click Connect.
  7. Finally, click on Done.
  8. You can now manage your newly-added email from the left sidebar under the Home tab of Outlook.
